VEHICLE REGULATIONS

The World Forum for the Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29), which is crucial for E-Bike and Intelligent Transport Systems globally harmonized regulations.

TRANSPORT, HEALTH& ENVIRONMENT POLICIES

WBIA is also working closely with the World Health Organization – United Nations joint body called THE PEP (Transport Health Environment Pan-European Programme), which is responsible for the developments of the Masterplan for Cycling Promotion.

TRANSPORT TRENDS & ECONOMICS

The Working Party on Transport Economics and Trends (WP.5), which collects and analyses Transport and Mobility data at world level as a tool for the United Nations’ Member States to better prepare both national strategies and projects.

ROAD TRAFFIC SAFETY

The Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety (WP.1), which plays a key role in defining worldwide policy recommendations about how to strengthen the position of Vulnerable Road Users (like cyclists) in Road Traffic rules.

The strength of WBIA is that it serves
as a Global Industry platform:

WBIA is an independent platform for sharing best practices among the WBIA members with the aim to reinforce the Cycling advocacy globally as well as for discussing any relevant topic that has an industrial perspective.

The Wbia participates in all the
relevant United Nations meetings.
